At SafeBoda, our commitment to delivering an exceptional ride experience goes beyond technology, it is rooted in the people who make every ride possible: our drivers. In line with this commitment, we are proud to announce a transformative partnership with BrighterMonday Uganda, one of East Africa’s leading human capital solutions providers, to deliver structured, high-impact training sessions to our drivers.

Every Thursday at the SafeBoda Academy in Kyebando, Kampala, BrighterMonday will be leading driver development sessions focused on customer care, communication skills, time management, financial literacy, and key operating procedures. These sessions are designed not only to enhance the quality of service our customers receive but also to empower drivers with the skills and confidence to thrive in an evolving professional landscape.

Why BrighterMonday?

BrighterMonday has built a strong reputation across the region for providing career support and capacity-building programs that bridge skill gaps and connect individuals to opportunities. Their experience in workforce development, combined with practical and locally tailored training models, makes them the ideal partner to lead this initiative. Their trainers understand the dynamics of informal and semi-formal workforces and are skilled at delivering relatable, action-oriented content that produces results.

At SafeBoda, we believe that great customer service begins with well-supported, well-trained drivers. This partnership speaks directly to our vision of professionalizing the boda boda industry, creating a fleet of confident, reliable, and courteous riders who put customer safety and satisfaction first.

Moreover, this initiative supports our broader mission to contribute to the socio-economic advancement of our driver community. By equipping riders with essential life and work skills, we are opening up pathways for personal development, financial stability, and long-term growth. These are not just skills for the job, they are skills for life.

Building a Better Mobility Ecosystem

As Uganda's urban mobility landscape continues to grow, we recognize the need for continuous improvement and innovation. This driver training program is one of the many steps SafeBoda is taking to raise the standard of ride-hailing in Africa starting right here in Kampala.

We are grateful to BrighterMonday Uganda for bringing their expertise and dedication to this effort. Together, we are not only improving service quality but also building a future where boda boda riders are respected, empowered, and equipped to thrive.

Stay tuned for more updates from the SafeBoda Academy as we continue to invest in our drivers because when they grow, we all go further.
