Job Summary:

We’re looking for a Vice President of Finance to join our leadership team and help shape the financial strategy of our company. As VP Finance, you’ll own everything from day-to-day financial operations to long-term financial strategy. You’ll ensure we’re compliant with applicable regulations, financially sound, and positioned to grow — all while partnering closely with the CEO, leadership team, and investors.

This role is ideal for a hands-on finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Operations

  • Oversee the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of all financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and supporting analyses to support data-driven decision-making.

Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
  • Support and review internal control frameworks.

Legal & Compliance

  • Ensure the company adheres to all legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Legal & Compliance Manager on corporate governance, contracts, and compliance matters.

Financial Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership team to develop and execute long-term financial strategies.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Lead a high-performing finance team.

Investor Relations & Support

  • Act as a key liaison with investors, analysts, auditors, and external stakeholders.
  • Support fundraising efforts and maintain transparent, trust-based relationships with investors.
  • Prepare financial presentations and materials for board meetings and investor communications.

Qualifications 

  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CFA qualification or other accountancy qualification required;
  • Have 7+ years of experience in a professional or start-up environment with at least 5 years of management experience;

Key  Competencies 

  • Knowledge and background in GAAP, including the presentation of GAAP-based financial reports such as IFRS;
  • Expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, and financial analysis;
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence in presenting opposing views;
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with staff at all levels;
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment;
  • Proficient in the use of Excel/Google Sheets and financial reporting software (e.g., Odoo, SAP, etc);
  • Be emotionally intelligent, humble, and excited to work within a team with a diverse set of experiences, backgrounds, and skills;
